Yes, that time has come. It's time for me to argue about how the Galactic Empire of Star Wars should have easily defeated the Rebel Alliance. I've been reading the new Star Wars Novel Death Star, and it has given me more facts that prove I'm right. I'm sure those of you who know me in real life were dreading this day, but the time has come.
The main reason the Rebellion won the war was because the commanders in the Empire were to overconfident. I have several points that prove this.
1. In the Battle of Yavin, Grand Moff Tarkin never deployed a single TIE fighter to combat the rebels. The only reason there were any TIE's in the air at the battle is because Darth Vader ordered his personal squadron, Black Squadron, to go attack. Now, there wasn't a lot of fighters in Black Squadron, about 8 if my research is correct, and the Rebels had thirty-two fighters attack the Death Star.
The Death Star had thousands of TIE fighters on board, and if a fraction of those were deployed, the X- and Y-wings wouldn't of had a chance.
The thing is, the entire battle could have been avoided if Vader and Tarkin didn't let the Millennium Falcon go. If they didn't let the Death Star plans fall into rebel hands, none of this would matter. But I guess it did make sense to let them go so they could find the rebel base, so I'll let that one go.
One more thing, and this has bugged me for a while: why wasn't there a fleet escorting the Death Star? I know it's supposed to be a super weapon that can destroy ships in one shot, but still. If the Rebels had sent an armada, shear numbers would have overwhelmed the station. The super laser could only fire once every 1/2 hour if it wasn't fired at full power. At full power, it took over 24 hours to recharge, so the Death Star would have trouble defending itself.
2. Now we move on to the Battle of Endor. Now here, most of the Empire's plans make sense: lure the rebels to the Death Star and crush them once and for all. This would have worked just fine if not for a few flaws.
a. The Imperial fleet should have attacked more forcefully, not just hold the rebels there. The Empire had the Executor Super Star Destroyer, over thirty Imperial Star Destroyers both I and II models, Victory I and II Star Destroyers, and hundreds of TIE fighters, plus the Death Star itself. The Rebels had mostly random Mon Cal warships, though not as many and not as powerful and a few other ship types. Again, the Empire could have overwhelmed the Rebels into nothing and been done with it. The blame for this one falls on the Emperor himself. He wanted to show off his new toy and take the rebels out in a spectacular way to strike fear into anyone who would oppose him.
b. The Empire underestimated the ewoks on the Endor moon. The Empire thought that ewoks were just primitive animals with no intelligence, but they were smart enough to fight and defeat a legion of the Emperor's best troops. That was a problem the Empire had the whole time. They were very xenophobic. They even thought that Wookies were ruthless animals.
c. The commander of the shield generator opened the back door. I know they were told that the rebels were retreating, but why open the door they were trying to get into. There must of been another way to get the troops there.
The real problem with the Empire is that politicians kept trying to run the military. Tarkin was a Governor and Palpatine was an emperor and a Sith Lord, they shouldn't have been in command of military actions. Also, most of the Grand Admiral were nothing but politicians.
The ones who should have been in command were Darth Vader, a former general in the Clone War, and Grand Admiral Thrawn, a tactical genius.
In closing, the Rebels had no business wining the war. Also, I couldn't think of a place to put this in, but my favorite Imperial leader is Gilad Pellaeon.

Windows Install
Am I the only one who thinks that reinstalling Windows is fun? Especially if you don't have the disc with the drivers. It's like a game of hide and seek, but on the internet.
I mean, yes it's a pain. But having a fresh install of Windows is cool.
Now just so you know, I don't have a computer yet. I'm on a friend's computer and I had to reinstall her copy of Windows.
Speaking of computers, I still need donations so I can get my own computer. I hate using other people's computers, because then they could get into my Gmail or post under my name on forums.

BS Medication
You want to know what I hate. Medications who's side affects are worse then what it treats! Why would you take an anti asthma med that could cause asthma related death? You end up taking one pill for a condition you have, but you end up needing two more pills to counteract the side affects of the first one.
I'm just glad I don't have to take any pills for anything. One thing I can save money on.

Cell phone post
Well, you know it's bad when you have to update your blog from the cell phone your mom pays for. Even if you can't give, tell a friend or link to me. Thank you!

Computer
Well, I knew this would happen.
I've been borrowing a laptop from a friend and now she wants it back. Which means that I don't have a working computer.
I have a broken laptop that I bought off a friend a while back, but it won't charge now. Even when it did charge, it would overheat and shut down just because of firefox and iTunes.
Now I really need those donations, or else I won't be able to post to my blog anymore.
